Bayern Munich won 2-0 at Atletico Madrid on Tuesday in the Champions League, with Lennart Karl scoring in the 54th minute and Konrad Laimer in the 74th. Bayern went to the Metropolitano without several regular players, according to kicker.

AS reports that a mistake by Robin Le Normand opened the door for Karl's goal. El Mundo describes Bayern as the side that dominated the match against a passive Atletico.

The win lifts Bayern to eighth in the Champions League table with eight points from four games. Atletico are 22nd on four points.

Bayern's next game is a Bundesliga match at FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday, 7 November.
