Bayern Munich's injury crisis deepened on Sunday when the club confirmed that Ismael Saibari had been successfully operated on for a ligament rupture in his right ankle, sustained during Saturday's 2-2 Bundesliga draw at home to Borussia Dortmund. Mundo Deportivo reports the 25-year-old attacking midfielder faces approximately three months out.

Serge Gnabry was also ruled out for the foreseeable future with a hamstring injury picked up in the same match, according to Der Spiegel and L'Équipe. Neither player will be available for Bayern's Champions League visit to Atlético Madrid.

The absences compound a growing list of unavailable forwards. Manuel Neuer, Jamal Musiala and Luis Díaz are already sidelined, and the situation of Michael Olise — who left the Dortmund match with an apparent leg injury — remains unclear, with the club yet to issue a formal update on the French winger.

Saibari had been one of Bayern's more productive midfielders this season, contributing two goals and two assists in eight appearances. FootVal's valuation places him at €59m, above his Transfermarkt market value of €55m. His contract runs until June 2031.
