Fenerbahce beat Liverpool 3-2 at Chobani Stadium in Istanbul on Wednesday in the Champions League league stage. Trey Nyoni gave the visitors the lead in the 25th minute, but Mason Greenwood equalised for the hosts four minutes later.

Alexander Isak put Liverpool back in front in the 69th minute. Archie Brown levelled for Fenerbahce in the 73rd minute, and Muriqi scored the winner six minutes later. The Guardian reports that the late collapse at the back cost Liverpool, while The Sun says the home crowd pushed the Turkish side on to the comeback.

The defeat ended Liverpool's unbeaten start in the competition and was their second successive loss, after Sunday's defeat to Arsenal. The win was the first match of Dirk Kuyt's interim spell as Fenerbahce coach, according to The Guardian.

Liverpool are fifth in the Champions League with nine points from four games, while Fenerbahce are 19th on five points. Liverpool visit Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday 8 November at Selhurst Park. Fenerbahce play Çorum FK in the Süper Lig the same day at Corum Stadyumu.
