Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement to sign JJ Gabriel, the 16-year-old Manchester United forward, Sky Sports reports. Neither club has announced a deal.

The Guardian reports that Madrid have offered the player a multi-year contract and hope to bring him in January, subject to final talks. United could consider legal action if they believe any rules have been broken, and the club have yet to be contacted by the player's camp or Madrid about the move, according to the same report.

ESPN, citing sources, says Madrid have beaten Barcelona and other European clubs in the race for the player. TuttoMercatoWeb, citing journalist Matteo Moretto, reports that Barcelona have dropped out.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Gabriel joined United's academy at 11, after spells at Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham and Queens Park Rangers. L'Equipe reports he is training in Madrid and expects his first professional contract to make him a Real Madrid player in 2027.
