Rodrigo Muniz came off the bench to score a late equaliser as Fulham drew 1-1 with Newcastle at Craven Cottage on Saturday. Jacob Murphy had given the visitors the lead in the 80th minute before Muniz struck in the 83rd.

Sky Sports described the equaliser as unorthodox and said it denied Matthias Jaissle a win that would have eased pressure on him, although his side were much improved. The Guardian noted that César Palacios was at fault for Murphy's goal.

The point leaves Fulham 15th with 10 points from 10 league games and Newcastle 11th with 12. According to the Guardian, Muniz's goal extended Fulham's unbeaten run to four matches.
