Thierno Barry's home burglarised during Everton's Carabao Cup win, losses reported above €400,000

Thierno Barry's home was broken into while the Everton striker was playing in the club's Carabao Cup fourth-round win over Newcastle on Thursday evening, according to the Daily Mail, The Sun and RMC Sport. Losses are reported to exceed €400,000.

Barry's partner Charlene, with whom he shares a one-year-old daughter, discovered the burglary. She described the incident as 'extremely distressing and violating', according to The Sun.

RMC Sport reports that around two weeks before the break-in, Barry had published a YouTube video touring his home, during which items including designer handbags were visible in a walk-in wardrobe. The Daily Mail noted the same detail.

The 24-year-old French forward had scored to help Everton to a 3-1 victory on the night. The Sun noted that the break-in came just days after Manchester United midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White was similarly targeted during a match.

FootVal values Barry at €36m, marginally above his €35m Transfermarkt market value. He is under contract at Everton until June 2029 and has scored three goals in eight appearances in the 2026/27 season.
