Federico Valverde scored in stoppage time as Real Madrid came from behind twice to win 3-2 at AEK Athens on Wednesday in the Champions League. Coming off the bench, the Uruguayan struck from around 20 metres and left the goalkeeper no chance, according to kicker.

Mundo Deportivo puts the winner in the 92nd minute. Real had equalised both times the Greek champions went ahead, and the Guardian reports that the late goal kept Real at 100% in the league phase.

AS describes Real Madrid as co-leaders of the table. Their next match is a La Liga trip to Valencia on Saturday 7 November, at Mestalla.

On FootVal's figures, Valverde is valued at €86m, 4% below his €90m market value on Transfermarkt. He has played 10 games this season, with two assists, and is under contract until June 2029.
