AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze has undergone surgery on his left hip in London, the club has announced. The Nigeria international picked up the problem in the Atalanta match.

Chukwueze has been sidelined since mid-October, and further tests were needed before doctors decided on an operation, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported. The paper describes the problem as a torn tendon in the left hip.

Tuttosport reports that the operation went well and rehabilitation has started. Record puts his recovery at three months, while Corriere dello Sport says his 2026 season is over.

Chukwueze will miss Milan's Europa League match against Ferencvaros at San Siro on Thursday 5 November. FootVal's valuation of him is €19.4m, slightly below his market value of €20m on Transfermarkt. He is under contract until June 2028 and has two assists in seven appearances this season.
