Aston Villa are close to a new contract for head coach Unai Emery, several outlets report, a deal that would end Manchester United's interest in the Spaniard.
The Sun reports that the club has spoken of positive talks over a clear long-term commitment, and Mirror reports that Villa have given a firm response to United's interest.
Daily Mail reports that Emery is open to extending his stay to close to a decade at the club and that his current deal pays close to £15m a year. Marca reports that the owners want to extend the contracts of Emery and his staff, which run until 2029.
Villa and Manchester United meet in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Sunday 8 November.
