Arsenal winger Max Dowman has been called up to England's Under-21 squad for the first time, ESPN reports. The 16-year-old could break Jude Bellingham's record as the youngest player to appear for the Young Lions if he features in either of their upcoming fixtures, The Sun says.

The call-up comes with a domestic suspension hanging over him. Dowman was sent off for retaliation in Arsenal's Carabao Cup defeat at Fleetwood Town, and the club's appeal against the red card was rejected, the Sun and the Mirror report. Evening Standard says he will miss Arsenal's Premier League game against Hull City on Saturday.

Dowman has two appearances to his name this season without a goal, with an average rating of 6.60 in FootVal's data. Transfermarkt puts his market value at €50m, while FootVal's valuation is €52m.
