Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka will be sidelined for several weeks after suffering a quadriceps injury, manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed. Saka went down in the 10th minute of the Gunners' Champions League game against Bayern Munich, which reports describe as a 2-2 draw, and reports say no opponent challenged him.
Arteta told reporters before the game that Saka will be out for longer than expected, according to Mundo Deportivo. L'Équipe reports that the winger will not return to individual training until after the international break.
talkSPORT notes that Saka has had fitness problems in recent months, including an Achilles injury that cost him seven Premier League games. This season he has made seven appearances and scored three goals, with an average rating of 7.43 in FootVal's records.
Arsenal lead the Premier League and next play Hull City at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 7 November.
