Eli Junior Kroupi has returned to action for Bournemouth following a fifth metatarsal fracture in his right foot, but manager Marco Rose has warned that the young French forward will not be thrown straight back into full action. Rose made the comments on Friday, ahead of Bournemouth's home fixture against Leeds.

Rose stressed the importance of patience in managing Kroupi's return, indicating that the 20-year-old would be eased back rather than rushed. Metatarsal injuries of this kind typically require a careful reintegration into match intensity to avoid the risk of re-injury.

Kroupi has made only one appearance in the 2026/27 season so far. FootVal's valuation of the centre-forward stands at €70m, matching his Transfermarkt market value, and he is contracted to Bournemouth until June 2030. Reports from several outlets have linked him with a move to Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window, though Bournemouth have not confirmed any approach.
