Bournemouth defeated Leeds United 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League, with Evanilson netting for the fourth consecutive league match to put his side ahead on 31 minutes.

The goal had its origins in a grave error by Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford, who misplaced a short pass that fell to Justin Kluivert. The Dutchman squared for Evanilson, who finished to open the scoring. Substitute Amine Adli, who had come on for fellow Brazilian Rayan, sealed the win deep into added time.

The result extends Bournemouth's winning run to six matches in all competitions, a streak during which they have not conceded a single goal. Leeds, who had started the match the stronger side according to The Guardian, suffered a damaging blow to their confidence after Trafford's mistake.

Evanilson has now scored five goals in six Premier League appearances this season. FootVal's valuation of the 27-year-old Brazilian stands at €32m, slightly below his Transfermarkt market value of €35m. Bournemouth are next in action in the Europa League, with a trip to Prague on the horizon.
