Paris FC beat AS Monaco 3-1 in Ligue 1 on Sunday, with Lassine Sinayoko the standout performer. The 26-year-old Malian forward scored a quick-fire double in the closing stages of the first half and also provided an assist, while Pagis added a third for the hosts.
Sinayoko's brace moved him to the top of the Ligue 1 goalscoring standings. According to L'Équipe, he now has eight goals after nine league matches, a pace that rivals the record set by Liberian great George Weah, the last African player to score at least eight goals in the first nine matches of a French top-flight season.
FootVal values Sinayoko at €16.2m, slightly above his €15m Transfermarkt market value. His contract at Paris FC runs until June 2029. This season he has registered six goals and four assists in eight appearances for the club, with an average rating of 7.50.
The result leaves Monaco, whose squad is valued far higher than Paris FC's, with questions to answer after what L'Équipe described as a long spell of ineffectiveness. Paris FC continue to make an impression in Ligue 1, with RMC Sport noting Sinayoko's growing status as one of the division's most dangerous forwards.
