PSG eye Bayer Leverkusen's Maza as potential winter signing

Paris Saint-Germain have concrete interest in Ibrahim Maza and are considering him as a possible replacement for the injured Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to Sky Sport DE.

Paris Saint-Germain have placed Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Ibrahim Maza on their winter transfer shortlist, with the player's camp aware of the interest, Sky Sport DE and TuttoMercatoWeb report. The 20-year-old Algeria international is one of several candidates being considered by the French club.

The interest comes in the context of Kvaratskhelia's ACL injury, which has left PSG short of options in attack. According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the club is looking to strengthen in January rather than wait until the summer.

Leverkusen, however, are not prepared to sell. The German club are unfazed by PSG's interest and are working on extending Maza's contract beyond 2030 with a salary increase, viewing him as a key player for the future. His current deal runs until June 2030.

Maza has made seven appearances in all competitions this season, contributing two goals and two assists, with an average rating of 7.37. FootVal values him at €56m, slightly above his Transfermarkt market value of €50m.
