Victor Osimhen scored twice to hand Galatasaray a 2-1 victory over Fenerbahçe in the Istanbul derby at RAMS Park, lifting the hosts back to the summit of the Trendyol Süper Lig after matchweek 9.

The Nigerian striker was the decisive figure in a fiercely contested match, with Fenerbahçe pulling one back but unable to find an equaliser against their city rivals.

The result extends Galatasaray's recent dominance in the fixture: according to Habertürk, they have not lost to Fenerbahçe in their last five derbies, collecting three wins and two draws across that run.

Osimhen, 27, has now scored eight goals in seven appearances in all competitions this season, with FootVal valuing him at €66m — in line with his Transfermarkt market value of €65m. He is contracted to Galatasaray until June 2029.
