Mario Gila, Adrien Rabiot and Diego Moreira have all returned to group training at AC Milan and are in contention to feature in Saturday's Serie A derby against Inter, multiple Italian sources report.

Manager Ruben Amorim is hoping to start all three from the first minute, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, though Corriere dello Sport notes there remains a competition for places in certain positions, with a battle reported between Estupiñan and Bartesaghi for one spot. Modric is also said to want to play and could start.

The news comes as a significant boost for Amorim, who lost Fikayo Tomori ahead of the match and whose squad was described as fatigued after a 4-2 home defeat to Bologna. Rabiot has been one of Milan's standout performers this season, scoring four goals and adding three assists in seven appearances, while Gila has averaged a rating of 7.26 across his seven outings.

Inter will be led by Marcus Thuram, according to La Gazzetta, with coach Cristian Chivu expected to restore Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu to the starting line-up after both were on the bench in the win at Venezia.
