Man United eye Calvert-Lewin in January as Sesko injury leaves squad short
Manchester United are exploring a move for Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin after Benjamin Sesko was ruled out until at least January with a shin injury.

Manchester United are considering a January transfer move for Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, according to The Athletic. The interest comes after Benjamin Sesko sustained a shin injury that is expected to keep him sidelined until at least the end of the year, leaving United short of fit centre-forwards.
Calvert-Lewin, 29, joined Leeds on a free transfer in the summer of 2025 after an injury-affected final spell at Everton and has scored four Premier League goals this season. The Athletic notes that any move would be considered remote given the rivalry between the two clubs, and Leeds are believed to be working on a new contract for their striker.
Sesko, 23, has managed just four appearances this season before the shin problem emerged. Transfermarkt values the Slovenian at €75m; FootVal's valuation puts him at €76m. Calvert-Lewin has a Transfermarkt value of €25m, with FootVal's valuation at €18.8m, and his contract at Leeds runs until June 2028.
Manchester United's search for forward cover in January will depend in part on Sesko's recovery timeline, with the club assessing their options before the window opens.
