Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia underwent a successful operation to repair the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The surgery took place in Qatar, according to reports from Maisfutebol and TuttoMercatoWeb.

PSG announced that the procedure went without complications and that the 25-year-old will now begin a rehabilitation programme. TuttoMercatoWeb reports that a return before the end of the current season is unlikely, with the winger potentially sidelined for several months.

The injury is a major blow for the French club. Kvaratskhelia had made seven appearances in the 2026/27 season, scoring once and providing one assist, with a Transfermarkt market value of €140m and FootVal's valuation placing him at €149m. His contract with PSG runs until June 2029.

The news comes shortly after Kvaratskhelia finished sixth at the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony.
