Haaland scores late winner as Man City beat Leipzig 3-2

Leipzig twice drew level, but Haaland's 78th-minute goal gave City a 3-2 win that lifts them to seventh in the table.

Erling Haaland scored in the 78th minute as Manchester City came from behind twice to win 3-2 at RB Leipzig in the Champions League league stage on Wednesday.

City had led through an own goal by Castello Lukeba in the 37th minute, but Ridle Baku equalised for Leipzig early in the second half. Enzo Fernández put City back in front in the 58th minute, and Antonio Nusa levelled for Leipzig three minutes later.

L'Équipe described a quiet first half that came alive after the break. The Guardian noted that Rayan Cherki hit a post late on, while Tuttosport reported that goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma had been imprecise before Haaland settled the game.

With the win City are seventh in the Champions League table with nine points from four games. Leipzig are 30th on three points.
