Arda Güler put his mid-week muscle strain concerns behind him to deliver a key assist for Jude Bellingham in Real Madrid's 2-0 lead over Racing Santander at El Sardinero.
Güler played the ball perfectly into Bellingham's run at first touch, allowing the Englishman to round the goalkeeper and finish into an empty net for Real's second goal, according to kicker and AS. The Spanish outlet described the pass as an inspired piece of play from the 21-year-old.
The appearance also triggered a financial milestone: Transfermarkt reports that Güler has now played his 125th official match for Real Madrid, activating the final bonus clause in his contract and bringing Fenerbahçe's total earnings from his 2023 sale to €30m.
Güler has been in consistent form this season, with 2 goals and 2 assists in 10 appearances and an average rating of 7.60, according to FootVal data. FootVal values him at €109m, above his Transfermarkt market value of €100m. His contract at Real Madrid runs until June 2029.
