Gonçalo Ramos has revealed that he reached a point during his time at Paris Saint-Germain where he wanted to leave, including a desire to depart in January, according to interviews published by Maisfutebol and Foot Mercato. The 25-year-old, now at AC Milan, spent much of his PSG career as a high-profile substitute.

"I had reached a stage where there was only one thing I wanted: to leave," Ramos was quoted as saying by Foot Mercato. He spent the majority of his time at the French club without a regular starting role, a situation he described as ultimately untenable.

Ramos also recalled a notable exchange with Jorge Jesus during his time at Benfica, in which the coach reportedly told him: "Is that how you want to go to Bayern? You're staying here." He credited the demanding approach of the national team's new coach for raising standards within the Portugal squad.

Looking ahead, Ramos told Maisfutebol that a return to Benfica remains his wish if he were ever to move back to Portugal, ruling out any possibility of joining a rival club. "I would be betraying [them]," he said. FootVal values Ramos at €49m, close to his Transfermarkt market value of €50m; he is under contract with Milan until June 2031.
