A mass brawl broke out on the pitch at full-time after Galatasaray beat Fenerbahçe 2-1 in the Intercontinental Derby, with staff members forced to intervene as the confrontation spiralled out of control, according to talkSPORT and The Sun.
Footage that circulated widely online showed Fenerbahçe winger Kerem Aktürkoğlu involved in a confrontation immediately after the final whistle, which sparked the wider altercation. Galatasaray captain Abdülkerim Bardakcı was seen attempting to pull his own teammates away from the melee.
Former Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi also became involved as the scenes grew more chaotic, with players from both sides wrestling on the ground before staff eventually separated them.
The result was already Fenerbahçe's second derby defeat of the season. It remains to be seen what disciplinary action the Turkish Football Federation will take against the individuals involved.
