Füllkrug leads Bundesliga scoring charts and closes in on Werder record
The 33-year-old striker needs one more goal to match Rudi Völler's club record of eight goals in the first seven Bundesliga games.

Niclas Füllkrug has become the Bundesliga's top scorer since returning to Werder Bremen, his boyhood club, after spells at AC Milan and West Ham United ended without the success he had hoped for.
Füllkrug has scored eight goals in seven Bundesliga appearances this season, giving him an average rating of 7.17 according to FootVal data. He is now one goal away from equalling a Werder club record set by striker legend Rudi Völler, who netted eight times in his first seven matches for the club. Füllkrug needs only to score once in the next league game to draw level.
According to L'Équipe, Füllkrug, who turns 34 in February, is also hoping his form will earn him a recall to the Germany national team. FootVal values the forward at €2m, against a Transfermarkt market value of €3.5m, with his contract at Werder running until June 2027.
