Francisco Conceição banned for three matches after Portugal red card

UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body suspended the Juventus winger for insulting language directed at the referee against Norway.

FootVal Newsroom

Francisco Conceição has been suspended for three UEFA Nations League matches following his dismissal in Portugal's recent group-stage fixture against Norway. UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body found him guilty of directing insults and abusive language at the referee.

The three-game ban means Conceição will miss the remainder of Portugal's Nations League campaign before the quarter-finals, effectively ruling him out until that stage of the competition.

The 23-year-old right winger plays his club football at Juventus, where he has made seven appearances in the 2026/27 season, scoring once and contributing one assist with an average rating of 7.13. FootVal's valuation of Conceição stands at €31m, marginally above his €30m Transfermarkt market value.
