Fenerbahce turn to Emre Belözoğlu after Conceição talks stall

Fenerbahçe have reportedly ended talks with Sergio Conceição and agreed terms with Emre Belözoğlu to become their head coach, according to NTV Spor and A Spor. Transfermarkt describes the agreement as close.
According to Hürriyet, the club had reached an agreement in principle with Conceição after İsmail Kartal left. Habertürk reports that the Portuguese coach later changed his contract terms and raised his salary demands, which led the club to look again at a Turkish coach.
TuttoMercatoWeb also reports that Conceição will not join because his demands were considered excessive, and that Belözoğlu's name has come up.
The next match is the Champions League game against Liverpool on Wednesday, 4 November, at Chobani Stadium.
