Fenerbahçe appoint Dirk Kuyt as caretaker technical director
The Dutch former winger will take charge on a temporary basis while the club searches for a permanent replacement for İsmail Kartal.

Fenerbahçe have officially announced that Dirk Kuyt has been appointed as the club's caretaker head of football operations for the first team, effective immediately, while a new permanent manager is sought.
The announcement follows the resignation of İsmail Kartal, which FootVal reported earlier. Fenerbahçe confirmed the decision through their official social media channels.
Kuyt, who enjoyed a celebrated playing career and has since moved into coaching, will oversee the squad on an interim basis. No timeframe has been given for when a permanent appointment is expected.
Fenerbahçe currently have a squad valued at €250m according to FootVal's valuation, underlining the scale of the job facing whoever takes the role on a long-term basis.
