Everton drop Grealish after drinking nights and missed training
The England winger, on loan from Manchester City, reportedly spent two nights at a pub and karaoke bar, then skipped a Monday training session before being stood down for the League Cup tie against Newcastle.

Everton have removed Jack Grealish from their squad for their League Cup match against Newcastle after the winger was reported to have spent two consecutive nights drinking — first at a karaoke bar in London and then at a late-night pub in Cheshire — and subsequently missed a training session the following Monday.
RMC Sport reports that Grealish also attended the PSG-Barcelona match in the days before the club acted. According to Marca, the loan signing from Manchester City was excluded directly because of his nocturnal activities on those evenings. The Sun first reported the details of the two drinking nights.
Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca declined to address the specifics of the disciplinary matter but, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, spoke warmly of the player, describing him as a boy with a big heart.
Grealish, 31, is on loan at Everton from Manchester City, where he remains under contract until June 2027. He has made six appearances for Everton this season with no goals or assists and an average rating of 6.95, according to FootVal's data, which values him at €12.4m against a Transfermarkt market value of €20m. No return date to the squad has been indicated.
