The Brussels public prosecutor's office has asked a court to sentence Radja Nainggolan to two years in prison and impose a fine of €105,000, according to reports from GE and Record. The former Belgian international is accused of money laundering in connection with a cocaine-trafficking investigation.

The case centres on a criminal organisation alleged to have imported large quantities of cocaine from South America into Europe through the port of Antwerp. Belgian judicial authorities opened the investigation in March 2023. Record reports that Nainggolan has an indirect link to the trafficking network and was already detained in 2025.

No verdict has been announced; the request represents the prosecution's demand ahead of a court ruling. Nainggolan, who retired from professional football, is best known for his spells at Roma and Inter Milan.
