Brown banned for three matches and Bardakcı for two after Galatasaray–Fenerbahçe derby

Turkey's Professional Football Disciplinary Board handed out the suspensions following incidents at the end of the Süper Lig derby.

FootVal Newsroom

Turkey's Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) has banned Fenerbahçe left-back Archie Brown for three matches and Galatasaray centre-back Abdülkerim Bardakcı for two, following incidents in the Galatasaray–Fenerbahçe Süper Lig derby.

Both players received red cards during the match, according to multiple Turkish outlets, and the PFDK confirmed the suspensions after reviewing the events.

Brown, 24, has made eight appearances for Fenerbahçe in the 2026/27 season, while Bardakcı, 32, has featured nine times for Galatasaray. The bans will keep both players out of their clubs' next fixtures.

The derby between the two Istanbul rivals is one of Turkish football's most fiercely contested matches, and disciplinary fallout from such encounters is not uncommon.
