Bayern Munich among clubs monitoring Gladbach teenage sensation Wael Mohya

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder helped Gladbach to their first Bundesliga win of the season against Stuttgart, attracting interest from several top clubs.

Bayern Munich are among a group of clubs closely monitoring Wael Mohya, the 17-year-old Borussia Mönchengladbach attacking midfielder who played a central role in his side's first Bundesliga victory of the season against VfB Stuttgart, according to Sky Sport DE reporter Florian Plettenberg.

Plettenberg reports that Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen are also interested, as are top clubs from abroad. Interest has been registered on Mohya's side as well, though no concrete move is in place and a winter transfer is considered unlikely.

Gladbach are eager to tie the player down beyond his current contract, which runs until 2028, with a release clause included. According to Plettenberg, Mohya staying beyond next summer would only be conceivable if the club avoids relegation this season.

Against Stuttgart, Mohya was involved in all three of Gladbach's goals, with Marca describing him as a player who 'dares to try everything'. He is already the youngest player ever to make his debut for Mönchengladbach.

FootVal values Mohya at €21.7m, 28 per cent above his €17m Transfermarkt market value, after seven appearances, two goals and one assist in the current Bundesliga campaign.
