Goals from Grimaldo and Giuliano Simeone sealed a seventh consecutive league win for Diego Simeone's side.

FootVal Newsroom

Atlético de Madrid moved provisionally to the top of La Liga on matchday 11 with a 2-0 victory away at Levante at the Ciutat de València, recording their ninth league win of the season.

Alejandro Grimaldo and Giuliano Simeone scored the goals for the visitors, while a Hjulmand effort for Levante was ruled out by VAR. Levante offered little in attack, creating only a handful of clear chances throughout the match.

The result extends Atlético's winning run in the league to seven consecutive matches. Grimaldo has now contributed three goals across nine appearances in the 2026/27 season. FootVal's valuation of the left-back stands at €16.4m, slightly below his Transfermarkt market value of €20m.

Atlético's position at the summit is provisional, with Barcelona still to play later in the day. Diego Simeone's side face a demanding run of fixtures ahead, including home games against Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
