Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has addressed his reaction to Max Dowman's dismissal, with the 16-year-old now confirmed to serve a three-match ban after an independent commission rejected the club's appeal against both the red card and the suspension.
Dowman was sent off in the 85th minute of Arsenal's Carabao Cup tie at Fleetwood Town for kicking out at Harrison Neal following a bruising tackle. Fleetwood, a League Two side, won the match on penalties after a 1-1 draw, eliminating the Premier League champions from the competition.
Maisfutebol reported Arteta as saying 'we are not at Disneyland' when explaining why he confronted the teenager after the red card, suggesting the manager wanted to make clear the standards expected at the club.
