Arsenal dumped out of Carabao Cup by League Two Fleetwood Town on penalties

Arsenal were eliminated from the Carabao Cup at the last-16 stage by Fleetwood Town, who play in England's fourth tier, after a 1-1 draw that went to a penalty shootout, which Fleetwood won 5-3.
The match was also interrupted by a drone flying over the ground, forcing play to be halted. Teenager Max Dowman, 16, was sent off in the 84th minute for a stamp, leaving Arsenal with ten men for the closing stages and extra time. According to Mundo Deportivo, it is Dowman's second red card in under a month.
Manager Mikel Arteta said his side needed to handle the situation better emotionally, according to L'Équipe, who quoted him as saying: "We had to take control on the emotional side." Kicker reported that Fleetwood's hero Lynch was so overcome after the victory that he lost his voice, saying: "Somehow we beat the champions."
