Ronald Araujo's agent has spoken publicly about the defender's future at Liverpool, according to Mundo Deportivo and Foot Mercato, with a permanent transfer a possibility after an impressive run of form on loan from Barcelona.
The 27-year-old joined Liverpool on loan for the season after a difficult period that included mental-health concerns, and has quickly established himself at Anfield. He was named Player of the Week following a standout display against Chelsea, with Marca reporting that one observer admitted he owed Araujo an apology for thinking the move was made out of desperation.
The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool are considering making the deal permanent, though no fee has been disclosed. Araujo's contract with Barcelona runs until June 2027. FootVal's valuation places him at €22m, against a Transfermarkt market value of €25m. He has made eight appearances this season, averaging a rating of 6.86.
Araujo himself has spoken of the loan as a chance to rediscover his best level, and his performances so far suggest it is working. His agent's public comments are likely to intensify speculation over his long-term future.
